The Wheel of Holidays: From Christmas to Christmas highlights the rich tapestry of Ukrainian traditions in music, song, and dance. A concept of cyclical flow of time, nature, and tradition is deeply rooted in Ukrainian culture. It reflects how each holiday leads into the next, forming a seamless flow of cultural memory, music, and seasonal change.Founded by Ukrainian violinist Solomia Gorokhivska and Grammy®-winning flautist Andrei Pidkivka, Gerdan brings the fire and the edge of melodic ideas and rhythms that capture the listener. Musicians of Gerdan reveal their passion for traditional Ukrainian music in their artistic expression to build cultural bridges in time and distance.
