Promoter's note:
"When i started this company, it was the beginning of 20 years of presenting events, producing concerts, and building relationships with some of the most creative people out there. Throughout the month of November we're celebrating with 10 shows, in various venues, to mark that milestone. I've often said in this time frame that The Wheat Pool were/are my favourite local band. So, when it came time to plan these shows, some fell in my lap, but not this one. I made sure this one was happening one way or another, no matte what. I just needed a yes. I'm thankful to Robb, Glen, Mike, and Stephane, for making a commitment and an effort to celebrate with me.
We spent considerable time and energy, the band and I, to choose collective support for this one. I've long had a lover affair with Katlin Matheson's songs, and there's no songwriter in Calgary that makes me put tunes on repeat so often as him. So Okay Mann will make the trek up QE2, and the band will be our direct support.
We wanted someone from the current scene that we all liked, and could bring some class to the joint. I mean, she just played the Edm Folk Festival. C'mon. Various names got thrown into the text thread, but the moment Tayler Grace was suggested, it was a done deal. "Yes." Yes." Yes." 3 digital nods, no further discussion needed. We are stoked to have Tayler and her band kick off the night. Perfect.
I don't need to tell you about The Aviary, folks. It's a genuine, living breathing fixture and a godsend to this scene. This was always going to be the home for this show. We love you Philip."

"The Wheat Pool are a band of brothers, two by blood the rest by love, known for channeling the irreverent spirit of Canadian indie alt-country. After circling the country with two acclaimed albums and songs full of hope and heartbreak, the band ended, but the brotherhood endured. The band has always felt woven by the deep connection to its fans, and have slid inside those songs again, and maybe something new, to find that bond once more with their audience and each other."
