The Whags are turning the lunch hour at Union Square into a funky Americana dance party on Tuesday, Aug. 13. This free show is part of the Downtown Summer Sounds concert series.The Whags are a five piece Americana jam band that started as longtime musical friends. Through songwriting, they layer vocal-driven pop harmonies, anthemic guitar riffs and jazz/funk rhythms that conjure swirly ballads amidst groove-heavy jams.
The Whags will be joined by opening act Zach Person. Zach is the new face of indie rock. With his Gibson SG, Person plays loud, raw, and connects with his fans on a primal level.
The Downtown Seattle Association is proud to present Downtown Summer Sounds, our summer concert series that has been bringing free live, local music to downtown Seattle for 45 years.
