Welcome to the X-Wing Welsh Open Tournament 2025After a very successful debut in 2023, the Welsh Open is back for it's third year in 2025 as a large-scale premier level 2 day X-Wing event!
The main event will have 5 rounds of swiss on day 1 followed by a top cut elimination on day 2. For those who do not make it into the cut there will be a 4 round side event on day 2.
With X-Wing having transitioned over to community led support, the tournament will run using the latest X-Wing Alliance rules which can be found on the website - https://www.xwing.life/

Schedule
Day 1:
Registration - 9:00
Round 1 starts - 09:45
Lunch after round 2
Round 5 ends by around 19:00
Day 2:
Arrive by - 9:00
Top Cut round 1 - 09:45
Lunch break after round 2
Final ends by - 17:00
Day 2 side event schedule will run concurrently with the cut through 4 rounds of swiss.
Updated information will be posted to the Facebook event page as and when it becomes available. This will include links to hotels (for those travelling), rules clarifications (before the event), prize information and more. Head to the discussion section for more info.
The gaming venue is available to players on Friday from 3pm for practice. Table space must still be booked, details will follow on the Facebook event page.
The link to sign up to the online tournament software will be posted on the Facebook event page closer to the time of the event, please follow the page for all info.
Prize Support:
As always, we plan to be as generous as we can with our prizing and we guarantee that everyone will leave with something. There will be a trophy for the winner plus other prizes throughout the competition including templates, tokens, alt arts and whatever else we can think of. We will also have various spot prizes across the weekend. Further news will follow when available
