The Wellness Table: Soup, Salad, Tea & Talk

Nourish your body, calm your mind, and connect with community at The Wellness Table: a cozy, outdoor farm-to-table experience blending good food, herbs, and real conversation in Houston’s north side. Hosted at Jesse’s House: A Holistic Assisted Living Home, and featuring Elijah Broke the Gate Apothecary Division and Josie's Organic Farm. This evening is designed as a gentle reset for the new year.

You’ll start with a short, uplifting film about wellness, agriculture, and how the way we grow and share food can support healthier lives and communities. Then settle in with a comforting bowl of sweet potato ginger coconut soup and a vibrant farm-fresh salad made with produce from Mr. Pickens of Josie Organic Farm, topped with a house-made, medicinal-style Fire Cider vinaigrette made by Elijah Broke the Gate Apothecary Division
Next up is the Tea Bar: you’ll build your own custom wellness tea blend from a curated selection of herbs and pack one generous take-home tea bag (enough for 2–3 cups), while sipping a glass of soothing lavender lemonade. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional lavender lemonade and Fire Cider dressing to take home and keep the ritual going.

We’ll close by circling up for The Wellness Table Talk: a guided, judgment-free conversation about everyday wellness, sustainable choices, and caring for ourselves and each other in Houston’s unique climate and pace. Expect an atmosphere that’s warm, welcoming, and accessible for beginners and seasoned wellness folks alike.
