The Wedding Party - Social Dance and Dress up Fun

Join us for The Wedding Party, an all-styles social dance celebration unlike anything else in Seattle. Part dance party, part wedding reception. The Wedding Party will transform the Grand Ballroom and Emerald Ballroom into a festive celebration complete with wedding-inspired décor, photo opportunities, and hundreds of elegantly dressed guests.
Why? Reverie Ballroom is expanding its wedding and event offerings, and there's no better way to showcase the beauty of the venue than with the people who bring it to life every week.
"Being only a little more than one year old, we don’t have many events under our belt yet (if you don’t count the 28 years of running Century Ballroom), so we want to create the wedding album of our dreams, with the dancers, friends, and friends of friends who make this place come alive," says Interim CEO Hallie Kuperman.
Guests are required to come dressed as they might for a summer wedding. Be the bride(s). Be the groom(s). Be the matron of honor, the eccentric aunt, the best man, or the guest who never leaves the dance floor. Creativity is encouraged, but one rule remains: semi-formal summer wedding attire is required. The evening begins at 8:00 PM with a free beginner-friendly dance lesson followed by social dancing in both ballrooms until midnight with multiple DJs spinning all styles of music.
Admission is sliding scale $5-$20, making the event accessible to everyone who wants to celebrate. Throughout the evening, Reverie's photographer will capture images of the venue and dancers. These photographs will be used to help tell the story of Reverie Ballroom as a wedding and event destination while showcasing the genuine joy that has made the space a Seattle institution.
