Welcome to "The Weaving Workshop!" In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll embark on a journey through time, learning the fundamentals of weaving from warp to weft. You’ll discover the fascinating origins of this ancient craft and explore how it became intricately intertwined with family life, enduring across millennia.
Guided by instructor Cecelia Hopes, you'll master the intricacies of warping a frame loom, the plain weave technique, crafting fringe, and get to experiment with shapes, textures, and patterns. Ultimately, you’ll remove your creation from the loom, transforming the woven piece into a stunning wall hanging.
Whether you're a beginner eager to explore the world of fiber arts or a seasoned artist looking to expand your creative horizons, Cecelia's weaving workshops offer a welcoming space where inspiration flourishes and artistic visions come to life.
What students will learn in this class (bullet-point list):
· Warping a frame loom
· Plain weave technique, plus others

Instructor will provide: All supplies - Supply Fee 5$ payable on day of class

About your instructor: With a diverse background spanning from graphic design to fine arts, Cecelia Hopes brings a wealth of creative expertise to her role as a weaving workshop instructor. Inspired by her own journey through various mediums, including fiber art, clay, and watercolor, Cecelia's approach to teaching weaving is infused with a deep appreciation for texture, color, composition, and history. Her lifelong passion for artistic expression is infectious.
