The Weavers is a new extended reality (XR) action-film-inspired performance based on Nobel Prize winner Gerhart Hauptmann's play from 1912. It centers a community of textile workers and their bosses whose understanding of labor, sense of faith, and humanity is pressed to the brink by the unstoppable march of mechanization, automation, and the free-fall collapse of empathy. #willAItakemyjob
