About this Event
The Way We Move: A Metro Vancouver Conference on Transportation
Join us in person for The Way We Move, a conference all about transportation in Metro Vancouver.
We welcome everyone to join us, making sure we include the perspectives of all sectors of society, including night workers, elders, high schoolers, people with disabilities, low-income, immigrants, people who face homelessness and substance abuse.
We want people who drive, bike, walk, take transit, or use taxis and rideshares to join us. Every experience is important.
We are going to discuss ways to improve transportation across Metro Vancouver, so it becomes safer, more reliable, and more convenient for everyone. Themes will be around transit reliability, affordability, safety, accessibility, regional connectivity, climate resilience and mobility equity.
The conference will examine how transit supports economic growth, builds healthier communities, and creates more inclusive cities. We will discuss who can improve the system, what changes are possible, and how residents can help shape the future of mobility.
Most importantly, we want to go beyond assumptions and misinformation by having real, honest conversations about what makes transit work and how we can improve it for everyone.
Through interactive discussions, storytelling, and participatory workshops, attendees will:
- Explore challenges and opportunities across transit, accessibility, safety, and connectivity.
- Learn from one another across roles, backgrounds, and communities.
- Share practical, individual and collective actions that empower residents to shape a city that truly reflects their needs and dreams.
Inclusivity is key to us! If you require a waiver of your ticket cost, email [email protected] . We will send your free ticket by email!
