Want to celebrate Pride, but need a little respite from the crowds and chaos? Having pride doesn't always have to be loud--sometimes the celebration needed is quiet and reflective.

We invite you to join herbalists Agate and Bonita in a restorative and immersive plant reflection space at Missoula Public Library as we learn alongside dandelions. Each year, waysides, lawns, and sidewalk cracks burst in yellow- despite being eradicated & poisoned, dandelions find a way to shamelessly bloom. In a world that asks them to conform, dandelions continue to stand out. Maybe you can relate?

You will interact with dandelion at different life stages- the tap root, the bud, the flower, the seeds, the withered crone. Each station will be accompanied with guided journal/thought prompts, and poetic pieces that reflect the corresponding stage.

Together we will explore how we internalize the attempted eradication of dandelions as well as their beautiful, wild persistence. Your responses will culminate in a collective art piece--planting windswept seeds of hope and resilience.

This is a rolling workshop- feel free to stay for as long or as short of a time as you would enjoy.
Agate wears many hats in Missoula that share a common denominator of creating and sustaining connection to self and ecosystem. They are most eager about their growing capacities as an herbalist, doula, and arts/movement facilitator.

Bonita is an herbalist & energy worker who is passionate about fostering kinship between people & plants. They create botanical self-care products, offer 1:1 energy healing sessions, and facilitate community-oriented workshops that help people connect to the earth, and orient towards their innermost truth.
