The Way In: A Living Philosophy Course – Try-Out Class

Are you seeking deeper meaning in life, to explore the mysteries of existence, or simply for practical tools to live more wisely? Join us for a free try-out class of The Way In: A Living Philosophy Course and experience a transformative approach to philosophy that is designed to enrich your daily life.

This course offers a journey through timeless ideas, combining insights from ancient traditions and modern thought to help you navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. It’s not just about learning philosophy—it’s about living it.

What to Expect in the Try-Out Class?

  • Introduction to Living Philosophy: Explore the idea of philosophy as a practical guide for life rather than an abstract theory.
  • Interactive Activities: Engage in thought-provoking exercises that connect philosophy to your personal experiences.
  • Community Connection: Meet like-minded individuals and share meaningful discussions in a welcoming environment.
  • Wisdom Across Cultures: Discover key teachings from Eastern and Western traditions, including Stoicism, Buddhism, and more.

Whether you’re new to philosophy or have been exploring it for years, this try-out class is a doorway to explore philosophy as the love of wisdom and a path that leads to more understanding, resilience, and growth.

Join us Sunday, January 19th at 3pm, for a FREE try-out class in the Living Philosophy Course.

More information about the course:

The course revolves around three core modules: Self-development (ethics), learning to live together in harmony (socio-politics), and building the future (philosophy of history).

Our experienced instructors will guide you through the complex ideas of the great philosophers of the East and West, and help you understand how their teachings can be applied to your own life. We'll discuss the importance of self-awareness, authenticity, and personal responsibility in creating a fulfilling existence and a better world.

The course is designed to be interactive and participatory, with plenty of opportunities for group discussion and self-reflection. By the end of the course, you will have gained a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you, and you will be equipped with tools to help you create a life with greater purpose and fulfillment.

There are 8 classes in the course.

Classes will take place IN-PERSON* weekly on Wednesdays from 7 pm -9:00 pm (with break), starting February 5th, 2025.

Topics include: Hinduism and the inner battle; Dharma, Karma and Reincarnation; What the Buddha taught; Confucius and the Harmonious Society; Plato's Cave; The Practical Wisdom of the Stoics; Justice in Ancient Egypt; The Cycles of Time in Mesoamerican Cultures; And more.

Classes include practical exercises to demonstrate the ideas taught through lived experience.

The course is a foundation course for the study program of New Acropolis, which includes advanced courses such as practical psychology, the wisdom of the east and west, symbolism of ancient cultures, oratory (public speaking) and more.

Join us Sunday, January 19th at 3pm, for a FREE try-out class in our introductory Living Philosophy course.
