In a night of drama and superb musicianship, WAAPA's leading classical soloists join the WAAPA Symphony Orchestra to battle it out in the final of the prestigious 2025 Warana Concerto Competition, with each student performing their favourite concerto movement. Ace conductor Jessica Gethin also directs Johannes Brahms' majestic and mischievous Academic Festival Overture – a grand academic work, wittily based on student drinking songs – alongside the winning work from the 2025 WAAPA Symphony Orchestra Composition Competition.
