We are back for our final session in our series on Faith and the Difficult Books of the Bible, where we have been looking in-depth at the most challenging parts of the Bible and discussing how Catholics today can understand what God is saying to us through them.
Come and join us on Tuesday the 2nd of July for an enlightening discussion on the Book of Revelation and the insights it can have for Catholics today.
Joining us is Dr Robert Tilley, who is travelling from Sydney to talk to us about The Virtual World and the Book of Revelation. Dr Tilley will bring his expertise in Scripture to talk about how the Book of Revelation's apocalyptic warnings about 'pseudo-realities' are significant for our virtual age.
We are incredibly fortunate to have an academic of Dr. Tilley's caliber traveling and offering his time and knowledge, so please come along and invite anyone who you think might be interested.
Dr Tilley is a leading Australian Scripture scholar and lecturer at the Catholic Institute of Sydney, The University of Notre Dame, and across Catholic Adult Education forums in areas of Theology and the Arts. He holds a BA, MA, and a BD from the University of Sydney and has a PhD in Theology and Biblical Hermeneutics with a thesis titled Reading the Sacred Text.
As usual, we will start from 6ish at Grill'd in Manuka before making our way up to the Haydon Hall at 7pm. As always, please RSVP through the event page to let us know you'll be joining us.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
