About this Event
Join us for an illuminating evening exploring the evolution of the violin through both craftsmanship and performance.
Where sound meets structure, and music meets its maker.
Violin maker Jonathan Woolston, with over 30 years of experience in world-renowned workshops—including The Royal Academy of Music (London) and Jacques Francais Rare Violins (New York)—will trace the instrument’s development from its early forms to the modern violin.
Renowned violinist Marianne Olyver, Governor of the Royal Society of Musicians, is a performer of Baroque through to Electric Violin. Marianne will play a variety of historical violins and bows, bringing each period to life. Her versatile artistry will demonstrate a compelling musical journey from Bach to Gypsy Jazz.
