The VHS Fleapit: Halloween Double Feature

It’s here folks - Spooky season! And what better way to celebrate than with a classic VHS Fleapit ritual: it’s HALLOWEEN DOUBLE FEATURE MONTH!
This month we bring you two back-to-back cheese-fests to delight and scare!
Our first feature is… BLACK ROSES! This former unwatched runner-up from a prior year is one of the last of the heavy-metal-horrors we are yet to indulge. It’s a campy, rubber monster filled, glam rock hoot that sees the titular band infiltrate a small christian town as a soft-rock group only to strip its gentle sound for an evil (and embarrassingly 80s) satanic aesthetic to take over the town’s youth, with only a local English teacher hero-guy to save the day!
Our second feature is one that dwells deep within the childhood psyche of one of our hosts, Dusty - THE WILLIES! This cosy little slice of teen horror plays out like a Creepshow for kids, only it features scenes that are WAY too scary for kids in its 5 short story anthology. We’re talking creepy toilet monsters, exploding animals in a microwave and a young fly collector whose absurd torture farm turns against him!
DRESS-UPS! - There will be a best costume competition for those wanting to come along dressed for the occasion with some spoooooky prizes!
We hope to see you there, because you’re in for a scare on Tuesday, October 27th!
Seating opens at 6:30pm, films will kick off shortly after 7 with a short intermission between the two at around 8:30. Seating is limited so get in early for good seats!
