Join us for an information session about the Verdant Fund's Project Grant program for Alabama artists.
An expansion of the Warhol Foundation’s Regional Re-granting program, the Verdant Fund supports creative practice born of and within Alabama. The fund’s goal is to reach a broad range of artists across all geographic areas of the state. Verdant Fund hopes to extend immediate relief to artists, aid in artist retention in the state, and deepen the network among people in creative practice.
The Verdant Fund is administered through a partnership between Alabama Contemporary Art Center (Mobile, AL), Coleman Center for the Arts (York, AL), and Space One Eleven (Birmingham, AL).
Project grant awards will range up to $7,000, with a total of $60,000 given out each year. The lead artist for each project must live in Alabama.
Applications open on May 24, 2021 and close on September 1, 2021. Selection of winners will be announced November 2021. Projects may commence January 2022.
Information sessions are in-person presentations and workshop environments to give you an in-depth look at the funding application process and priority areas. Ask questions and run ideas by us, we’re into it.
