Join The Vaude Villains for a Pride cabaret spectacle where we take the traditional wedding ceremony and toss the rulebook out the window! Celebrate with us the many ways we choose each other - from the first prick of Cupid’s arrow to the champagne toasts; from wedding cake to the last pastie of the night. With this show we want to take familiar wedding traditions and morph them into a playful, provocative, queer ceremony.
Burlesque and drag performances, heartfelt moments, vows, and enough camp to fill a chapel, our cast explores love, commitment, identity, and chosen family through shimmies, shakes, storytelling, and comedy. Maybe you’re a hopeless romantic; maybe you’re a wedding skeptic; or maybe you’re somewhere in between. We share the journeys that brought us here, while imagining a future where we each get to define love on our own terms. Bring your friends, your partners, your crushes, and your exes; all are welcome at our unconventional reception.
