In the tradition of gathering, the Valerie J. Maynard Foundation, alongside the Billie Holiday Center for Liberation Arts and Sheridan Libraries at Johns Hopkins University, convenes for what would be Valerie's 89th birthday to honor her enduring vision and welcome our 4th cohort of Legacy Interns into the lineage she built. Expect the full richness of Black intellectual and creative life.
