“THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES” BY EVE ENSLER produced Off-Broadway by David Stone, Willa Shalit, Nina Essman, Dan Markley/Mike Skipper, and The Araca Group. Originally produced by HOME for Contemporary Theatre and Art at HERE Randy Rollison, Artistic Director; Barbara Busackino, Producing Director in association with Wendy Evans Joseph.
In honor of Women nationwide, the performance is made up of an array of monologues, each dealing with distinctive viewpoints of the feminine experience, addressing topics such as “sex”, “love”, “rape”, and “menstruation”. A consistent theme throughout the play is the VAGINA as a tool of “female empowerment”, and the essential expression of uniqueness and individuality."
