Welcome to The UX/UI Lab: Where Design Magic Happens! This comprehensive course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles and practices.
Over the course of 10 weeks we will dive into the exciting world of UX/UI Design through a series of interactive workshops hands-on activities and practical projects.
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of UX/UI design and its importance in product development.
- Conduct effective user research and analyze data to gain valuable insights.
- Develop user personas to inform design decisions and create user-centred experiences.
- Create wireframes and plan information architecture to structure user interfaces.
- Design interactive prototypes to demonstrate user flows and interactions.
- Design interfaces for mobile and responsive platforms considering various screen sizes and devices.
You will leave this course with:
- a professional UX/UI design portfolio website
- Case Studies for the projects you've created
- a functional mobile app Prototype that has been tested that you can share with others
The workshop will take place in North York Central Library in STUDY ROOM 4-B at 5120 Yonge Street Toronto ON M2N 5N9.
Course Requirements:
- Laptop (Mac or PC OS)
- Mouse (optional)
- Notepad (optional)
- Curiosity (mandatory)
- An open mind (mandatory)
There is no additional cost for software as all of the software used in this workshop is open-sourced and can be operated out of web browsers (Figma Miro etc.)
