The Looking Glass Theatre Company proudly announces AUDITIONS for The Underpants – a comedy play written by Carl Sternheim and adapted by Steve Martin. The auditions will be held at Wonderland Performing Arts on Saturday, January 4 from 5pm to 9pm, with call backs on Tuesday, January 7 from 5:30pm to 7pm.
Directed by Christy Leichty
Performance dates are April 3 through April 6, 2025.
The story takes place in Dusseldorf Germany in 1910.
Characters include:
Theo Maske: A burly muscular fireplug with a buzz cut, Louise’s husband.
Louise Maske: Theo’s wife, very pretty
Gertrude Deuter: A busybody neighbor who is friends with Louise.
Frank Versati: An elegant gentleman
Benjamin Cohen: Sickly, thin, asthmatic man
Klinglehoff: An elderly man
Actors will be seen on a first come first serve basis.
Everyone will cold read from the script.
