Fred Foster was bitten by the music bug as a child, where growing up in Connecticut he started guitar lessons. He moved to New Orleans as a young adult, fell in love with the blues, and was inspired to play bass guitar. His career highlights include opening for Tab Benoit, Pat Travers, performing at the Tarpon Blues Festival, and on the Skippers stage for the WMNF Led Zeppelin tribute. He currently enjoys playing his bass guitar with Steve Fernand, in the acoustic duo Tune Jugglers.

You may also hear him in the Road Worn Blues Band or even holding down the bass line with his Baritone horn in the Gulfport Gecko Marching Band.Steven Fernand has been singing, playing guitar and harmonica, for almost half a century. Born in Massachusetts, he was on the road during his twenties, playing music off and on in Boston, Northampton, Key West, New York City, and New Orleans. Moving to Michigan in the 80s, he designed a line of handmade footwear, marketing them nationwide, and raised two daughters.

In 2001, he discovered Cajun music and put together a Cajun/Zydeco band that once opened for BeauSoleil in Grand Rapids, and performed at many of Michigan’s music festivals. After selling his business in 2006, he wrote a novel, and in 2010 moved to Gulfport– winters at first, then full time– performing his renditions of tunes from the 60s and 70s, around town now and then at the Peninsula, the Tuesday Market, the Tap House, and other venues, and has been a regular for ten years at The Chattaway in St. Pete.
