the TST 68 Comeback
Schedule
Sat Mar 28 2026 at 01:00 pm to 10:30 pm
UTC+00:00Location
The Green Door Store | Brighton, EN
Not content with Boss shows in Brighton for 20 years, tst has decided to haul it's bloated carcass out of retirement for one last joyous shindig.
Jump onboard for an All-Dayer of frolics from the D.I.Y/Alternative sector. As always 'friends and favourites' is the brief, so with immense pride and pleasure, please enjoy
CONTAINER
'Techno' barely covers what you are about to experience. 'Electronic Punk' also suggests something that this clearly ain't. However, if you can conjure up 'Flipper vs Aphex Twin' in your tinnitus-smashed mind's ear, we're getting there, kinda.
You're gonna Melt.
LOWER SLAUGHTER
'Blatant Nepotism' I hear you cry? truth is, the current LS lineup has never played a tst show, so here we are. Chops.
IRKED
if 'Hot Snakes meets Bikini K*ll' or 'New Bomb Turks vs X-Ray Spex' appeals, you're sorted. One of three Wrong Speed bands repping on the day, expect Relentless Garage-Punk Energy. Christ Yes. Seeya Cobwebs.
AAA GRIPPER
something of a Wrong Speed Super-Group, and some long term familiar faces from past tst business. Current members of Joeyfat/Sweet Williams/Hey Colossus. Aces all.
RAINHAM SHEDS
in their own words; 'Rainham Sheds is a Post-punk all female maximum art-core, art-school group. They sing about theorists, Art Stars, shit jobs, mega-banter, sex with furniture and reminding themselves that he's not her dad.' I'm thinking Slum of Legs on a Birthday Party/the Fall downer tip. Fronted by the extraordinary Kate Mahony who some of you will remember from ShakeChain (let's face it, you're unlikely to forget), factor in the likes of Gemma Fleet (ex-Wharves, etc) and the bad magic is assured.
Á BEAR
'a London-based psychedelic electronic musician known for intricate, layered soundscapes combining heavy/soft sounds, prog-infused melodies, polyrhythms, and synth textures.' Janine herself adds "I gave up trying to be normal and found myself doing strange and awesome things". Yep, that covers it.
M.WOODROE
Girl/Boy Alt-Rock/Post-Punk Btown Enigmas. Reference points don't leap out (and that's a good thing, right?) but if pushed maybe PJ Harvey, Lilliput and Sonic Youth point you in the right direction. One of, if not, thee most engaging new bands in town. Highly recommended.
?
proceedings kicked off by, frankly, one of the most significant Brighton bands of this Century. They wanna keep it customarily low-key so don't bother guessing. Speculation, wether right or wrong, will go unanswered. Just make sure you're there on time.
Trust me, you don't want to be missing this.
