Fundraising is no longer about persuasion, it’s about earning and sustaining trust
through collaboration, ethical clarity, and radical transparency. When used responsibly, impact metrics
allows fundraisers to move from periodic reporting to continuous, honest visibility, building deeper trust with
donors.
Learning Objectives:
1. Reframe fundraising as a trust-based discipline - Participants will be able to articulate how
collaboration, ethics, and transparency function as core drivers of donor trust—not just compliance or “best
practices.”
2. Apply ethical decision-making in real fundraising scenarios - Participants will be able to identify
common ethical gray areas in fundraising and apply a clear framework for making decisions that protect
donor intent and organizational integrity.
3. Design more transparent donor experiences - Participants will be able to evaluate their current donor
communications and implement at least two strategies to increase clarity, visibility of impact, and honesty in
reporting.
4. Leverage collaboration as a fundraising strategy, not just a value - Participants will be able to describe
how cross-sector and internal collaboration can increase donor confidence, reduce duplication, and amplify
impact.
