Come along and stitch your story of the Gulf as part of the Travelling Sea Garden on Thursday, 25th June at the Port Environment Centre.
In this artist-led workshop, you will transform discarded materials into parts of a magical travelling sea garden by creating and stitching objects inspired by local underwater life. You will learn about local marine ecosystems and through reflection and conversation, find inspiration to create your additions to the garden.
Led by Patricia Wozniak and Mawarini, the Travelling Sea Garden is a collaborative, community-driven art initiative inspired by the seaweeds, seagrasses, and underwater “gardens” of the Saint Vincent Gulf. Through hands-on workshops, participants from diverse community groups—including PAAF and Co-Art—will co-create a soft, tactile, and immersive reef installation.
Have some fun and foster your creativity while being a part of this community art project!
