Teo's Durumi by Elaine U. Cho

Teo's Durumi is the conclusion to Elaine U. Cho’s space opera duology that began with Ocean's Godori, an Indies Introduce and Indie Next pick. Ocean Yoon, a disgraced Korean pilot, leads her crew in an adventure that explores themes of identity, heritage, and grief.

Elaine U. Cho is the author of Ocean's Godori and Teo's Durumi. She has an MFA in Flute Performance and is a kyūdō practitioner.

The Lighthouse at the End of the World by J.R. Dawson

The Lighthouse at the End of the World is a powerful and poignant contemporary Queer fantasy perfect for fans of Hadestown and Under the Whispering Door. Nera, the new ferryman of the dead on the shores of Lake Michigan, finds a living woman in her boat who is looking for someone she lost.

Dawson (she/they) is the Golden Crown award-winning writer of The First Bright Thing, The Lighthouse at the End of the World , and various short stories. You can find them at www.jrdawsonwriter.com

American Werewolves by Emily Jane

A novel about a pack of venture capitalist werewolves and the people who team up to defeat them. Epic and electric, American Werewolves brings readers from the wilds of the New World to the opulent board rooms and golf courses of the twenty-first century, where devouring the weak is an American birthright as old as the country itself.

Emily Jane is the USA Today bestselling author of the fun genre-bending novels On Earth As It Is on Television and Here Beside the Rising Tide. She lives on an urban farm in Cincinnati with her husband and their two kids.

Saltcrop by Yume Kitasei

A dystopian novel about two sisters who sail across the ocean in search of their missing sister, who has become entangled with corporations who want what she discovered. So far, it has received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly (“an impressive feat”) and Library Journal (“unputdownable”).

Yume Kitasei is a Japanese and American speculative fiction author of The Deep Sky, The Stardust Grail, and Saltcrop. She lives in Brooklyn with two cats, Boondoggle and Filibuster.

The Memory Hunters by Mia Tsai

A novel set in a post-climate-disaster world, where redundant knowledge systems have been destroyed and humans have developed the ability to search for old memories in blood. When Key, an anthropologist, stumbles upon a memory she should never have found, it calls into question everything she believes about her work: its purpose, who it’s for, whether she can claim the memories, and whose voices have been silenced by the institution and ideals she’s held her entire life.

Mia Tsai is a Taiwanese American author of Bitter Medicine, a xianxia-inspired contemporary fantasy, and the forthcoming The Memory Hunters. She is also an editor at Giganotosaurus, a 2024 Hugo Award finalist for Best Semiprozine, and the creator of ConCurrent, a SFF convention.
