About this Event
What does it really mean to be a trauma-informed educator? This workshop takes educators through the basics of trauma (signs/symptoms, impact on brain, school functioning, etc.) to the practical strategies we can use to set our students up for success inside and outside the classroom. The Trauma-Informed Checklist will give you four ways to actualize a trauma-informed philosophy that prioritizes relationships, healing, and resilience. Specifically, we will discuss in detail how to master:
- Creating a Safe, Welcoming Environment
- Internalizing Restorative Philosophy & Practice
- Teaching Emotional Regulation
- Prioritizing Teacher Wellness
