About this Event
The Fabulously Rich bring their celebrated tribute to The Tragically Hip to the Kent Theatre in Saint John on Saturday, April 11, 2026 for a night dedicated to one of Canada’s most iconic bands and the music that continues to bring people together.
Long before The Fabulously Rich formed, fate connected frontman Dennis Ellsworth with Gord Downie in a memorable collaboration on a musical rendition of Coke Machine Glow, recorded at The Tragically Hip’s Bathhouse Studio for Dennis’s Hazy Sunshine album. That experience sparked a lasting friendship and a deep personal connection to Gord and the band’s legacy, something that still fuels every performance.
The Fabulously Rich began in 2016 as a one-time fundraiser in Charlottetown following news of Gord’s illness. What was meant to be a single night quickly turned into something more. The response from fans was overwhelming and it became clear that people still wanted to gather, sing along, and celebrate The Hip’s music together. Since then, the band has built a dedicated following by recreating the spirit, energy, and atmosphere of a classic Hip show while honouring the storytelling, musicianship, and sense of community that made the original performances so powerful.
Expect a full night of favourites, deep cuts, and the kind of shared sing-along moments that make Hip shows special. Whether you grew up with these songs or discovered them later, this is a chance to relive the soundtrack of Canadian summers, road trips, and late nights with friends.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
Join us at the Kent Theatre on April 11 for a memorable night celebrating the music and legacy of The Tragically Hip with The Fabulously Rich.
