Italy’s southernmost regions, Calabria and Puglia, are where ancient winemaking traditions meet sun-drenched vineyards and bold, soulful flavors. Welcome to The Toe and Heel of the Boot, a guided tasting led by one of Tria’s favorite importers, Giacomo DiLisi of Dilisi Imports—a passionate champion of pure and honest wines from across the world.

Calabria, the rugged "toe," is home to powerful reds like Gaglioppo—deep, earthy, and kissed by the Mediterranean breeze. Meanwhile, Puglia, the sun-soaked "heel," is a land of abundant vineyards, producing everything from rich, velvety Primitivo to zesty, refreshing whites.

With Giacomo as our guide, we’ll explore six distinct wines that capture the essence of these regions—wines that showcase the warmth, tradition, and passion of southern Italy. Along the way, you’ll hear firsthand stories of the winemakers, the land, and what makes these bottles so special.

Expect a night filled with bold flavors, fascinating insights, and, of course, delicious Tria snacks to complement the wines.
