This summer the Toasters will fuel up the SKA tank and set out on a series of tours spanning North America and Europe hitting a number of core boutique festivals such as Rebellion Festival (UK), Mighty Sounds (CZ), Punk Rock Bowling (USA), Supernova Ska Festival (USA), Rude Cat (ESP) and Rock Na Bagnie (PL), as well as numerous club dates and private parties.
Formed by expat Brit Rob Bucket Hingley on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1981, the Toasters played their first gig with the legendary BAD BRAINS at the A7 club and cut their teeth at CBGB's where they held a residency and have been hailed as a CBGB core top 20 band by I-Heart Radio. Coming up with their NYC Hardcore bands like Murphy's Law, the Cromags and Agnostic Front the band developed a harder sound and came to be hailed as America's 2 Tone Band.
During the course of their voluminous discography, the band has had three albums produced by rock icon Joe Jackson who has also appeared with them live on multiple occasions.
44 years later and the band is still gigging hard, coming up on a milestone of 7000 live concerts and has become a household name anywhere SKA music is played.
