The Movie: See The Fast and the Furious (2001), the movie that started a global cultural phenomenon, like you’ve never seen it before… ‘Shut Up And Drive Fan Edit’. Comedian and director Steven Lyons (Drag Race Down Under, The Block Nz, The Dice Show) asks and answers what happens when you remove almost all the dialogue and speed up all the car scenes in this NOS fueled, ADHD adjacent, absurdist art project.
The narrative is now driven by the roar of engines, the screech of tires, and the sheer absurdity of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker communicating solely through intense silent stares and early 2000s music tracks. It’s all the fun of a bad movie, but through the haze of two dozen cans of monster energy drink.
Almost all the dialogue has been removed. All the car scenes are too fast. You will be furious.
