More on The Talismen:
The Talismen formed in 2015 in Montgomery, Alabama. These talented musicians have been learning and growing as they entertain audiences all over the Southeast. With a combination of energy and sophistication beyond their years, The Talismen put on a show containing soulful and funk-filled originals along with some music of their favorite artists from across the jam / rock / funk spectrum.
The Talismen released their debut album, Jar Full of Something, in February 2019. The album has since totaled over 400,000+ streams via Spotify. In March of 2020, the band released a four-song EP, Extra Vehicular Activity, which was recorded and produced by Kevin Scott (Jimmy Herring & The 5 of 7 / Col. Bruce Hampton). In August of 2020, the band released their first live album, Live From The Bunker, which showcases their vast improvisational skill. All three releases continue to be in heavy rotation as the band currently sits with 14,000+ monthly listeners.
The band continues to expand their catalog of fan favorites and originals entertaining audiences throughout the South. They continue to expand into new markets across the Southeast, drawing large crowds in cities such as Birmingham, Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Mobile, Montgomery, Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, Charleston, and many more. They were selected to play Umphrey's McGee's inaugural Woodlands Music & Arts Festival in 2019 and have supported acts such as TAUK, Ghost Light, CBDB, Consider the Source, Funk You, and New Orleans Suspects.
More on Natchez Tracers:
Formed in 2014, Natchez Tracers are an original rock band based in Nashville, TN. While offering a healthy dose of improvisation-oriented, dance-friendly grooves reminiscent of the originators of this style from the 60's and 70's, Natchez Tracers deliver a modern take on a classic format focusing on thoughtful lyrics, inspired melodies and unexpected instrumental excursions. Co-Band Leaders Lewis Stubbs and Josh Womack are a formidable anchor for the group, equally sharing the songwriting, vocal and guitar-playing duties. Natchez Tracers keep the live show interesting and unpredictable by utilizing a couple of different rhythm sections and often have repeat guest instrumentalists sit in to add unique spins and colors to the performances. The band is currently booking and playing regional shows throughout the Southeast and beyond, supporting their 2021 third EP titled Hug You All on the Other Side. Usually, Natchez Tracers are accompanied by Bill Ferri (bass) and either Griffin Criste or Tim Blakenship on drums. Also, more new music is coming in 2022!
The songs found on our most recent release - Hug You All on the Other Side - are topical and relate to these crazy past couple of years we are experiencing together. Nick Buda (drums) and Ted Pecchio (bass) provided a rock-solid foundation for these recordings. Nick and Ted are renown as hard grooving players. They’ve played with so many great artists, but both being Col. Bruce Hampton (Codetalkers) alumni solidifies their natural fit with Natchez Tracers’ music. Kaitlyn Conner of Maggie Rose, Maradeen, etc. played keys and added some background vocals. Grammy award-winning Engineer Casey Wood recorded it and Jake Burns mixed and mastered the project. Additionally, Jerika Renee collaborated with us for the custom artwork for the new EP cover and merch.
