Welcome to Vancouver, BC's newest Lindy Hop group, The Swing Out, hosted by the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret! Follow our group to keep up with weekly events and monthly lesson series.Live music and dancing every Tuesday night!
Sliding scale $10-$20
7:15: Free beginner lesson (short intro lesson / warmup!)
7:30-10:00: Live music and dancing!
The Dusty House Band led by the incredible Joseph Abbott welcomes players every week. You can sit in with the band or sing with the band if you like. Just arrive and see Joseph at one of the band breaks!
All styles of dance and partner dance are welcome, there are usually a handful of slow jazz / blues songs every Tuesday.
Also you do not have to dance to come out; this Speakeasy is a great place to enjoy a drink alcohol or non and the band at our Cabaret seating.
This is a non-profit event that supports the band with the door and bar sales!Questions, discussions, feedback, and any ideas you have for The Swing Out are all encouraged ?
The Swing Out is a safe and welcoming space for peoples from all backgrounds including the BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Consent is always a must on the dance floor as well.
