About this Event

_____

Please join us for a free public workshop exploring a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as visual art, music, and haiku reflection/meditation, featuring practitioners from varied cultural communities. Research has consistently demonstrated that art therapy can significantly improve the quality of life of cancer patients/survivors/thrivers and caregivers by reducing anxiety, depression and distress. It can strengthen self expression, help with symptom management, and aid in processing the complex emotions surrounding cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Our Susan C. Hirano Cancer CARE Community of the University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center is here for you and your loved ones, offering heartfelt support and aloha. You’ll receive guidance on the latest treatments, emotional well-being resources, practical assistance with navigating care, and more.
