Following a fantastic Sold Out performance in 2023 this event is back in time for the Noosa Festival of Surfing 2025 with NEW RARE FOOTAGE & GROOVES.For the last five years THE SURF FILM ARCHIVE has been digging into the dusty cupboards of our original surf filmmakers to find and restore Australia and New Zealand’s lost surf films. After sold-out performances at Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay and Noosa, salty legends HEADLAND return in full seven-piece band mode with another batch of rare footage from the birth of Australian surfing.
Featuring remastered lost Paul Witzig reels, Dick Hoole footage from the earliest days of surf exploration in Indonesia, classic moments from the Bob Evans archive and excerpts from many more rarely seen classic surf films. Don’t miss it!
