There's little doubt that Chris Alvy was destined for greatness. From a young age, it was evident that anything Chris put his effort to would lead to success of one form or another. Chris Alvy was born in Cuba and raised partly in Madrid, Spain and partly in Miami, Florida. Before becoming songwriter in high demand, Chris Alvy was a professional baseball player in the minor leagues drafted by the Chicago White Sox then traded to the NY Yankees and playing for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros and finally settling in the Mexican baseball league and various other countries.

A physical injury forced Alvy to leave baseball behind and turn his attention to his other mistress, music. Chris fronted a couple of bands early on whose classic rock influence earned him early success supporting national acts like Foghat, Humble Pie, Boston, and America as well more contemporary artists such as Living Colour, Warrant, and The Smithereens.
