We are so excited to offer our awesome SUNSET SESSIONS outdoors! Ecstatic dance & cacao ceremony plus a picnic social! Brought to you by: Ecstatic Dance London - We love to dance. We love music. We love to inspire, to connect, to heal and transform! With the pioneers of Ecstatic Dance in the UK since 2009!

Dance on the Earth and beneath the Summer Sky! Using our Silent Disco - Head-Phones based sound system, we will journey together with the music to inspire our movements and expression. Enjoy our outdoor Ecstatic Dance sessions, and keep the wonderful spirit of ecstatic dance awake, alive, and aligned this Summer!

IMPORTANT - We dance in a beautiful, secluded location surrounded by Nature, trees, birds, wild grass & flowers! Don't expect a manicured lawn.. as we like to really immerse and dance in the wild of Nature!

This is a unique outdoor Ecstatic Dance experience in London! Our Ecstatic Dance sessions have guidelines of: No booze, No Shoes, No phones, No Chit Chat, Move However You Wish, Respect yourself and others. (More info about what is Ecstatic Dance - further down)

❤️DJ Amaya Garcia: (Fri, 30 Aug 6pm-9pm) an up and coming DJ based in London, will be playing Melodic, Uplifting and Progressive Trance music with a hint of Psytrance and Techno. Amaya loves to create musical journeys that go from more gentle to more energetic sounds to give dancers the opportunity to move their bodies in different ways to allow different feelings and emotions to be experienced. Amaya has been dancing at Ecstatic Dance London’s events, which she considers her ecstatic dance home, for the past 6 years and recently played at our Ecstatic Dance Festival. She feels honoured to now play for ED London again as she loves playing for her ecstatic dance family

❤️DJ Redpeppa: (Sat, 31 Aug 1pm-4pm) her musical inspiration stems from her parent’s disco, funk and soul vinyl collection and rhythms discovered whilst travelling the world. Also heavily influenced by the 90s underground rave scene and the roots of house music in Chicago; she is passionate about the dancefloor being an inclusive space to unite, liberate and heal. Known for an eclectic selection of groovy dance music; experience a journey through disco, house, techno, garage and breaks. Whether it’s a jazzy sax instrumental, Latina rhythm or dirty bass drop – her energy and sound is undeniably funky and infused with feel-good spice!

❤️ DJ Seth Newman: (Sat, 21 Sept 3pm-6pm Autumn Equinox) expect World | Funk | Drum and Bass | Uplifting & Deep House | Enlightened Electro | World Beat | Downtempo Bliss | Plus a few surprises slipped in for good measure!

❤️ DJ Amada: (DATE TBC) she has been moving dance floors in the conscious dance scene for the last 2 years infusing her love for multi-genre electronic world beats and will play a deep tribal world progressive set with percussive groovy bass lines, melodic house and tropical Afro-Latin beats to take you on a hypnotic uplifting journey. Her mission is to spread the power of music far and wide as a means to elevate, connect with our emotions, inviting authenticity and presence within and with other people.

Ecstatic Dance is a dance/movement practice to explore the exhilarating feeling of moving your body freely. You are invited to move, play, connect, sweat, stretch, sound, unwind, renew, release, improvise, transform. Be true to yourself, while respecting your body, in this space that we co-create together. Move your body, unleash the wild dancing self without caring what people think, claim your freedom, open your heart & touch the infinite!

Our Ecstatic Dance sessions create a safe and respectful environment that embraces 'all ways'. We offer a movement practice that supports your free expression of emotions and inner space through movement and music. Our intention for these Ecstatic Dance classes is self-exploration, connection, fun, healing, expanding human potential and community building through freestyle ecstatic dance.

Enter an open space...and with your bare feet explore the exhilarating feeling of moving your body freely. You are invited to move, play, connect, sweat, stretch, sound, unwind, renew, release, improvise, transform. Be true to yourself, while respecting your body, in this space that we co-create together.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS: Warm-up: stretch, move/dance and reflect on the intention for the dance. The Practice: freestyle dancing to a large sound wave featuring Live DJ set. Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music, the community and our own inner space direct our steps, our movements, our expression, our journey. Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.

No late comers please. This is a shared journey from the beginning to the end and we aim to create a safe container for all dancers.

1. No talking during the dance (if you wish to talk, you are welcome to chat before/after dance outside the main dance space). When we dance without the chitchat, something alchemical can happen on the dancefloor. A unified field of Being emerges and we feel both wild and free, contained within ourselves And connected to something much, much greater than our individual selves.

2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment

3. No photos or videos, Mobile phones muted and out of sight

4. Care/Awareness for the co-created space and each other

5. Move your body however you wish

6. No spectating. Stay connected to your own body, sensations, emotions, and feelings. Ecstatic Dance is about you and your relationship to the Dance. Dancers feel uncomfortable when being spectated at. Come prepared to Dance yourself free from inhibitions!

7. You can dance alone, or with as many partners as (you) like to join. (If you’d rather not dance with someone, thank them for the offer by placing your hands in prayer position at your heart – Namaste. Thank you, no thank you.)

8. This is not a pick up place. Please respect all dancers (especially women) and do not ask for anyone's contact details. If you wish to stay in touch with someone, give them your email instead of asking for their contact details. No means no.

Blissful! The open skies above, the bountiful trees surrounding the periphery, the grass and earth beneath my feet. There was a moment when I wanted to have a little cry, because of the abundance of beauty... And then there were those moments when I was completely lost in the music... Thank YOU. ♥

We will check the weather forecast closer to the time and will send an email update via Eventbrite to all registered attendees, however do dress in layers and bring waterproofs with a hood/umbrella in case of a light rain to protect the headphones. In case of a heavy rain forecast, we will cancel the dance at least 3h prior to the event .

1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself. Dress in layers in case you get warm/cool. Bring a warm jumper/ jacket and waterproof jacket with a hood in case of a light rain.

2. Ensure that you wear comfortable shoes and your feet are warm though you are welcome to dance barefoot. Please note that were we dance is a bit wild, has long grass so don't expect a perfect lawn.

3. Reusable water bottle, extra water to keep hydrated and maybe a flask with a hot drink and something to eat after the dance.

4. Towel or Blanket for picnic, snacks & non-alcoholic beverages.

5 . Bug spray (citronella works great!) we will provide some also :)

6 . Sun cream/ hat in case of very hot weather!

7 . Antihistamine if you suffer from hay fever.

8. Flashlight as it might be dark on the way back from the location.

CHILDREN: under the age of 9 yrs can join for free, 9yrs-16yrs is £8, limited availability,1 adult per child.

DOGS: You are welcome to bring beloved pets, however please keep them on the leash. Unless they are vey well behaved and won't disturb the dancers. Thank you.

BROKEN/ DAMAGED HEADSETS: We would like to remind all participants to look after our headphones and take extra care to ensure they don't get dropped/ stepped on/ broken etc otherwise we will charge additional £25 for any damaged headsets.

We do not offer refunds or ticket transfers to another date if you cannot attend and you give us less than 72h notice. If we need to cancel the dance due to a *heavy rain, we will issue a full refund . *In case of a heavy rain forecast, we will cancel the dance at least 3h prior to the event and notify all attendees via Eventbrite.
