R&B, Soul, and Funk music at Maple Hall. Come dance, listen, grab a drink, socialize, and enjoy the vibes!
💃🕺 Special class from 6:00 to 6:45pm with Mark Hip & Isabella Mangano. The class is open to all levels! Advanced ideas made easy!
🎵🎹 Special Guest DJ Soularia will be joining us!
$10 includes the lesson and dancing
$5 if you join us after the lesson
Cash preferred; Venmo and PayPal accepted
Everyone is welcome. No dance experience needed and no dance partner required. Bring friends or come solo and meet new people.
All dance styles are welcome. Swing, Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag, Blues, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Bachata, and Cumbia all have rhythms that work well to the music -- and solo dancing is always encouraged!
The 2027 schedule will be decided soon!
🎵 We honor and respect Black American art forms and pay tribute to the music and dances that express resilience and creativity in the face of hardships. 10% of proceeds go to The Bottom, a nonprofit community center and Black-affirming bookshop in Knoxville dedicated to community, culture, and creativity.
🌈 We expect all attendees to help create a safe, welcoming, and harassment-free environment that celebrates diversity of all forms. Let's dance, learn, and celebrate together!
