🔥 R&B, Soul, and Funk music at Maple Hall on March 30th! Rare gems alongside your favorite classics! 🌟 Special after-party event following the School of Hard Knox. Dance all night from 7-10pm -- no class this month! You can join Hard Knox's classes if you want to learn some fun stuff from the international instructors they're bringing in town!
💸 Cover: $5! Cash is preferred, but we gladly accept Venmo and PayPal.
🚫 No dance experience needed: Come listen to the tunes, grab a drink or snack and chill, or learn something new. Everyone welcome.
🕺 No dance partner required: Whether you're bringing friends or looking to meet some, everyone's invited!
💃 All dance styles welcome: Swing, Carolina shag, blues, wcs, salsa, cha-cha, bachata all have rhythms that work well to the music. And, of course, solo dancing is encouraged!

🎵 We honor and respect Black American artforms. We pay tribute to the roots of the music we play and the dances we love, the vast majority of which are born from Black American artistry, expressing resistance against hardships.
🤝 10% of The Sunday Get Down's proceeds go to The Bottom, a nonprofit community center and Black-affirming bookshop. They strive to build community, celebrate culture, and engage the creativity of Black people in Knoxville.
🌈 We expect all attendees to contribute to a safe, harassment-free environment, embracing diversity in all its forms. Let's dance, learn, and celebrate together!
