The Styers Festival of the Peony in Chadd's Ford PA - 2022

Tickets granting Multi-day access and Any-day access to the peony fields are available now at early bird pricing. There are a limited number so please don't wait to purchase.

Multi-day access $75.00 per person. Come and visit the fields as many times as you would like. Choose your prefered times and see the multi- varieties of peonies blooming in their own special window of time - early mornings and late evenings your call.

Any-day access $15.00 per person. This ticket gives you flexibility to visit the field on any one day of the festival.

You have the option to walk or drive and of course a combination of both is also possible.

We will be selling cut flowers, root orders can be placed for fall delivery. More details to come!

We take pride in our origins. American peony breeders since the late 1800's have been amongst the best in the world, and Dr. J. Franklin Styer (botanist) was one of them. His primary interest was to breed varieties that were most suited to being cut as a fresh cut flower with long vase life. Having grown these beauties, he then had to create a market for them (In the early1900's they were relatively unknown to the flower markets of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington). Franklin Styer decided to change that forever. Firstly. he supplied the casinos in Atlantic City, and though this exposure he was able to access the market in NYC, selling to both wholesalers on 28th street, and florists on Madison Ave. From there markets opened up everywhere. In the 1920’s, and through the depression, he believed that selling fresh cut peonies was a viable option, bringing so much beauty and pleasure to thousands every year.

Today, the Styer’s collection has been greatly expanded. We maintain the passion, enthusiasm, and downright obsession for peonies. Styer's Peonies grows on a combination of 120 acres in 3 climatic zones, which provide excellent conditions for the approx. 200 varieties in our portfolio.
