Nichol Sr. is a Professor of Natural Science at St. Petersburg College. His specialty is marine biology, and he is an accomplished diver and underwater photographer. He is a panel member of the International Ocean Institute’s Waves of Change ocean initiative, where he studies ocean acidification. He earned his M.A. in Oceanography and Marine Biology from Western Connecticut State University.
