This fundraising event hosted by the Board Members of The Space 109 has been created to raise funds for our building's renovations, 109 E 2nd Street. Primarily in hopes to raise funds for the roof. We are roughly $20,000 short of a completely new roof ready to take on the next hundred years.
The Space 109 is home to a free to artist gallery venue, and has offered free services to our local artists for over a decade. We hope to expand our services to include a low cost community gallery space where our community can come explore art mediums, expand their skills, and connect with others. We will have space to hold events, workshops, and classes. We can be a great escape in bad weather to spend some time getting creative while relaxing.
On May 11, 2024 we will be hosting our first annual fundraising costume event. This year's theme is The Story of Art, come as your favorite character, author, or artist. Come as your favorite painting, cosplay costume, or use your creativity to come uniquely you. We just hope you have fun.
We will have food truck options and a cash bar, with some refreshments available to all. Details in the discussion.
We will have live music, interactive art stations, and other entertainment.
We will have a silent auction/fundraising gallery. Come find unique one of of a kind items donated by our local artist community, local shops, and more. If you wish to donate an item please message us, we are accepting donations now.
Each person with a ticket will receive a complimentary thank you bag including a special Space 109 theme art piece, an art print by a local artist, information on our mission and ways to help, and more.
