About this Event
Philadelphia's Historic District Partners and Histories Collaborative of Philadelphia Present: The Story of America: A Rebooted Civic National Narrative.
Pulitzer Prize finalist and acclaimed author , director of the Nationhood Lab at Salve Regina University’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy, will present the findings of the Nationhood Lab’s provocative recent research project “The Story of America.”
Inspired by this research, the Nationhood Lab has developed and tested a framework for a “rebooted” national narrative to help civic, cultural and political leaders express American ideals coherently and effectively to the full spectrum of 21st-century audiences.
Following the presentation, Philadelphia author, educator and social activist, will join Woodard in a discussion to explore the implications of this new civic narrative in the context of the approaching Semiquincentennial and the ongoing need to strengthen civic education and increase civic participation, followed by Q&A with the audience.
