THE STONED IMMACULATE

Formed in 2018, The Stoned Immaculate have quickly become known as one of Glasgow’s most prolific artists. In their time together as a band, they have impressed in support of bands such as Calva Louise, LIFE and Kid Kapichi as well as selling out 2 of their own headline shows on short notice. Within the broad-church of Glasgow’s music scene the four-piece have carved out a sound and sensibility that is uniquely their own, yet different every time.

While fan favourites like “Coming Through” feature the energy and tropes that are found in many of their contemporaries’ songs, more often than not they eschew what is typical and expected of a Glasgow guitar band and opt for a more experimental, psychedelic sound. With 3 long form EPs recorded and released since 2019 and 5 quality singles, Stony Macs are certainly an interesting band to obsess over.

THE USUAL BOYS

They’ve spent 5 years cutting their teeth and cementing themselves as a distinct highlight of the live rock scene in their adopted home of Berlin. Playing some of the most infamous clubs and headlining local festivals, the band made a reputation for themselves as an ecstatic and anxious live act with no reservations supporting established bands such as The Undertones, The Happy Fits and The Bluestones.

As much inspired by the white heat of disco and afrobeat, as the perverted dirge of the Berlin club scene, The Usual Boys’ music is a sonic stare in the mirror. Angular, janky guitars and driving bass underpin a dark yet playful take on a young man’s ascent into adulthood.
