The Still ist ein Berliner Instrumentalquartett mit dem Pianisten Chris Abrahams (The Necks), Steve Heather, Derek Shirley und Rico Lee.
Ihr Debütalbum wurde vom Mojo Magazine unter die Top 30 Alben des Jahres 2016 gewählt und als "ein wunderschön eingespielter Klassiker der Zukunft" bezeichnet. Weiterhin als "Instrumentalmusik auf der Verbindungsachse von Talk Talk zu Miles Davis".
The Still ist eine Begegnung bestechender Einfachheit und flüchtig subtiler Komplexität, die sich über weitläufige Bahnen und strukturierte, andersweltliche Ebenen erstreckt. The Still taucht stetig und unablässig tiefer in die anscheinend angehaltene Zeit ein. Songformen werden durch Obertöne und Resonanzen aufgelöst, die zu einer zyklischen Trance zusammenschmelzen und dabei keine Auflösung versprechen.

The Still is a Berlin-based instrumental quartet featuring pianist Chris Abrahams (of The Necks), Steve Heather, Derek Shirley, and Rico Lee.
