About this Event
The State of the Nonprofit Sector: Fiscal Stability in a Volatile Moment
Join us in person for the inaugural Policy in Practice series, which brings together practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to discuss the real-world impact of policy, break down complex topics, and incubate ideas for future action.
As federal funding uncertainty intersects with Illinois’ ongoing budget deliberations, nonprofit organizations across the state are navigating heightened operational and financial instability. From behavioral health and education to community safety and human services, nonprofit providers sit at the center of systems increasingly shaped by shifting federal and state policy decisions.
This moderated discussion will feature Chicago nonprofit leaders Mark Ishaug (Thresholds), Emily Sweet (Jewish United Fund), and Lauren Wright (Illinois Partners for Human Service). Moderator to be announced.
