Join AIA Colorado’s and for an insightful roundtable discussion about the State of DEI in Colorado.
As DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives face increasing political and organizational resistance, this session brings together architectural professionals, firm leaders, and DEI experts to discuss how inclusive and equitable practices are vital to the future of architecture in Colorado. Through moderated discussion and interactive breakout sessions, attendees will leave with practical tools and strategies to advance ethical, inclusive practices that foster community engagement, equitable access, and resilient design.

This roundtable invites AIA members, NOMA members, and AIAS and NOMAS members into an open, inclusive conversation about the evolving state of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in architecture. As the profession, and equality infrastructure in general, faces another moment of reckoning, where many feel discouraged by the pace of progress or the diminishing visibility/viability of EDI efforts, this session offers space for honest reflection and reconnection.
Together we will explore:
- Where have we made progress and where have we fallen short?
- How do we navigate the fatigue and challenges surrounding DEI work today?
- What does the future of a truly equitable profession look like?
