Has your youngster dreamt of representing their club on the pitch at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park? Or do you still have hopes of managing from the sidelines as a trophy gets lifted in B9? Starting this summer, grassroots teams will be able to battle it out on the famous pitch for the St. Andrew’s Summer Shield.The inaugural tournament will be hosted on Saturday 30 May 2026, and open to teams currently playing U8s – U11s football. Each team will be guaranteed at least an hour playing time on the hallowed turf, with knockout stages and play-off matches for all teams.
The tournament is open to grassroots clubs from across the whole Midlands, however with just 10 spaces per age group, teams are encouraged to sign-up as soon as possible.
