Kai Ihns lives and works in Chicago, but grew up in Atlanta, GA and Pensacola, FL. She’s the author of two books of poems, most recently Of (The Elephants, 2024), and a number of chapbooks, most recently THE BIRDS (Three Count Pour, September 2025). Other projects include The Year, a chapbook press, and WIHSH projects, a basement visual arts space she co-runs with the artist Brett Swenson.
Emily Bark Brown is a poet from Mobile, Alabama and Brooklyn, New York. They co-edit Hot Pink, an online poetry magazine. They received an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Recent work can be found in The Poetry Project Newsletter, mercury firs, Noir Sauna, Bennington Review, Oversound, and blush, among others. Their chapbook, Welcome to August, is out now from The Year. They work at Nightboat Books as Managing Editor and host a reading series in public spaces around New York City.
