Doors: 7.30pm
Performance from 8.30pm
The Spin brings to the club for the first time as our front-line guest, one of the most brilliant trumpeter’s in the UK, Ryan Quigley! This will be a quartet that also features the outstanding musicianship of Pete Whittaker (Hammond) and Rod Youngs (drums), along with the Spin’s resident guitarist and MC, Pete Oxley.
Ryan Quigley's musical career has seen him play with a huge array of A-listers, from all walks of musical life. A snapshot of his CV would reveal work with Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Michael Bublé, and Randy Brecker. In the classical world, Ryan appeared as guest lead trumpet with top orchestras, such as the Metropole Orchestra, Halle Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and many more!
Pete Whittaker is one of the most in-demand Hammond players in the UK (along with Ross Stanley and Liam Dunachie) and is currently touring and recording with The Spin’s super-hero of our recent birthday gig, John Etheridge!
Rod Youngs is always a treat to have at The Spin! His career has been (and continues to be!) too prolific to outline in this paragraph; for full details, check out his website here: https://www.rodyoungs.com
This promises to be a special night at the SWB. Aside from the great music on offer, there’s a fantastic atmosphere at the SWB, aided and abetted by the availability of 300 wines to choose from! There is also delicious charcuterie-style food on offer (and other drinks!).
Any regular to The Spin will know that these gigs sell out quickly, so don’t delay folks, BOOK NOW!!
